wad-2016-landscape-high-resWorld AIDS Day is commemorated each year on the 1st of December and is an opportunity for every community to unite in the fight against HIV, show support for people living with HIV and remember those who have passed away.

This year’s World AIDS Day in South Africa will be a chance to reflect on what we have achieved with the National Strategic Plan (NSP) on HIV, STIs and TB, 2012–2016, which is coming to an end. World AIDS Day will also look ahead to the new NSP covering the period 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2022.

The slogan for World AIDS Day 2016 is: “It is in our hands to end HIV and TB”
