Non-profit Organisation (NPO) to be appointed as a service provider to train facilitators from 15 NPOs in 9 provinces on Ke Moja Drug Awareness Programme 2017/2018 financial year

The South African National Aids Council Trust (SANAC Trust) on behalf of The National Department of Social Development is hereby calling all interested Non-profit Organisations (NPOs) established and working at a National level to train 15 contracted NPOs currently implementing social and behaviour change programmes to integrate Ke Moja Drug Awareness Programme to address factors related to HIV/AIDS and abuse of drugs amongst young people.

Eligibility Criteria:
The NPO must be registered in terms of the Non-profit Organisations Act, No. 71 of 1997, as amended, and produce the NPO registration Certificate, which will be verified for validity with the NPO directorate within The National Department of Social Development.
The NPO must have extensive experience in the implementing programmes that seek to prevent substance abuse among young people. The NPO must have understanding of and experience in community development, social facilitation and community mobilisation in order to capacitate facilitators to effectively facilitate implementation of the Ke Moja programme in all districts and sub-districts in the country. The NPO must have sound financial systems in place that comply with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
The NPO must have the ability to gather data, compile information and compile reports. The NPO must demonstrate the ability to operate in a multi sectoral environment. Applications must comply with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) to ensure sound financial management and accounting procedures.

All proposals must be deposited in the tender boxes on or before 12:00 midday on August 15, 2017 at SANAC Trust Offices 333 Grosvenor Street, Hatfield Pretoria. Proposals received after the closing date will not be considered.
