The once-every-six-month HIV prevention injection, lenacapavir — in short known as LEN — holds the promise to help end Aids in Africa. South Africa started to roll out the jab on 5 June 2026. We’ve kept track of LEN developments since groundbreaking study results were announced in 2024 — from the science to roll-out successes and challenges to the possibility of making generic LEN on home soil.
