Ms. Sheila Mbele-Khama

Commissioner Mbele Khama has been a practising traditional healer (sangoma) for close to 2 decades and serves as a commissioner for Commission for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities (CLR), a body with a mission to foster the rights of communities to freely observe their culture, religion and language.
She was nominated among the ‘Top 100 Women of South Africa’ by the Mail and Guardian newspaper in 2010. Ms Mbele-Khama is passionate about research into matters of traditional medicine.
