National Men’s Dialogue Against Gender-Based Violence

PRETORIA, 23 August 2024 – The National Men’s Sector of the South African National AIDS Council (SANAC) Civil Society Forum (CSF) will lead a National Men’s Dialogue against Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) at the Durban City Hall on Saturday, 24 August 2024 as part of Women’s Month activities.
Held under the slogan “Building A Nation Without GBV is Possible”, the dialogue will see men and boys from all nine provinces converge to interrogate social drivers of gender-based and explore solutions thereof.

The dialogue forms part of continuous efforts by the SANAC CSF Men’s Sector to mobilise men and boys from across the country to be champions of change against GBVF, toxic masculinity and HIV prevention. Through this engagement, the Sector is reaffirming its commitment to building safer communities for women and children and is complementing ongoing activities for Women’s Month (August).

Senior leadership from SANAC and the SANAC CSF, government, development partners and the private sector will form part of the dialogue.
