Dr. Rogerio Phili

Dr Roger Phili is a seasoned public health executive with extensive experience in HIV, AIDS, and TB. His expertise spans executive leadership, organisational operations, national health strategy development, donor coordination, resource mobilisation, grant management, research, and large-scale HIV, TB, and STI programming. He has served in executive leadership roles in non-profit organisations and government entities. Dr Phili joined SANAC in 2019 and has led complex national funding applications, major donor-funded grants, and multi-sectoral initiatives involving government, civil society, development partners, technical agencies, and communities. A PhD-qualified public health leader with board and advisory experience, scientific publications, and international engagement, Dr Phili brings the strategic judgement, institutional credibility, partnership-building capability, and results-focused leadership required to serve effectively as Chief Executive Officer.
