SANAC CAREER OPPORTUNITY

The South African National Aids Council (SANAC) leads South Africa’s response to the national and AIDS, TB & STIs epidemics. SANAC is building a dynamic team that can facilitate its effective leadership of the national response.

Name of Position: Intern: IT Technical Support Admin

Reporting to: IT Manager

Location: SANAC Head Office, Pretoria

 Duration: 6 Months

 Advert Date: 8 September 2022

Purpose of the job

To serve as an intern, providing IT technical support assistance to ensure effective and efficient operations in the SANAC’s IT Infrastructure. The IT Manager will ensure job coaching and development opportunity to the successful incumbent to gain exposure to the inner workings Information Technology at SANAC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying hardware and software solutions
  • Troubleshooting technical issues
  • Assisting staff with the proper operation of the
  • Assisting in new device certification process
  • Diagnosing and repairing
  • Resolving network
  • Installing and configuring hardware and
  • Speaking to users to quickly get to the root of their
  • Providing timely and accurate customer
  • Talking users through a series of actions to resolve a
  • Following up with users to ensure the problem is
  • Replacing or repairing the necessary
  • Supporting the roll-out of new applications/systems.
  • Providing support in the form of procedural
  • Managing multiple cases at one
  • Testing and evaluating new
  • Conducting daily checks on all IT infrastructure

Qualifications and Skills

  • National Certificate or Diploma in IT or network related qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Excellent analytical skills for problem determination and resolution
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous in demanding situations
  • Ability to manage multiple
  • Possess a learning attitude
  • Ability to serve and work as well as cooperate with others
