Duration: Temp Contract (4 Months- Maternity Cover)

Purpose of the job
To perform and provide a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial support tasks in the Finance Department. Ultimately, a successful Accounting Clerk will ensure that the SANAC’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records
- Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable). Enters data into computer system using defined computer programs

Qualification, Skills and Experience
- National Diploma or Degree in Accounting/ Bookkeeping or equivalent in the related field
- 2 – 3 years proven accounting and bookkeeping experience
- Familiar with extensive bookkeeping and accounting procedures
- Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers
- Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
- Data entry and word processing skills
- Well organized
- Ability to prioritize, plan and multi-task
- Computer literate (MS Office, Outlook)
