The Minister of Health, Dr Zweli Mkhize, will today deliver a keynote address at the SANAC Civil Society Forum’s (CSF) consultation on Universal Health Coverage (UHC). THE SANAC CSF will deliberate and solicit inputs from participants on the following topics:
- Increased public health financing and financial protection
- Involvement of civil society and the community in UHC implementation to ensure accountability
- Presidential Health Compact fixing the health system to successfully implement National Health Insurance (NHI)
- A case for combining SANAC and National Commission into a single organisation
In his address, Minister Mkhize is expected to reaffirm the country’s position on NHI and what needs to be done to ensure its implementation.
