IMG-20180723-WA0012Deputy Chairperson of SANAC, Steve Letsike co-chairs and officially opens the satellite session on ‘HIV and Key Populations in Africa: Business Unusual’ at the AIDS2018 Conference currently underway in Amsterdam. The sessions brings together a cross section of some of the continent’s leading implementers of key population programming and includes discussion on the decriminalisation of sex work, cutting edge research, robust debate on the implementation of harm reduction policies.

This satellite session is co-chaired by human rights activist and South African Constitutional Court Justice, Judge Edwin Cameron who is openly gay and living with HIV. Speakers include drug policy activist Kunal Nair (Mauritius); Deputy Minister of Social Development Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu (South Africa) and UNODC’s Signe Rotberga.
